Tremor Video Partners with Retailigence to Provide Shopping Data Within Video Advertising Experience

Wednesday, June 18, 2014

At Tremor Video, we know that consumers are shopping on the web 24/7 and across multiple devices. Thanks to today’s technology, they have access to product reviews, product info, and price comparisons, putting research at their fingertips. This is why we just announced a partnership with Retailigence, a leading online-to-offline local marketing and commerce platform. This partnership enables us to easily integrate retailer location data into our clients’ interactive ads.

More specifically advertisers now can take advantage of two features:

  • Locations near you: displays the location of the nearest retail location of a store, restaurant, etc. to the viewer.
    • For example, as a consumer is watching an ad for Applebee’s, an overlay could appear letting them know where the nearest restaurant is.
  • Where to buy: references a database of 12 million products, spanning 100,000 U.S. retail locations, to display where specific products are available, along with product information like pricing, promotions, etc.
    • For example, if a consumer is watching an ad for Tide, an overlay could appear and show where the nearest place to buy Tide is and how much it costs at that location.

Our partnership with Retailigence is the latest piece of the puzzle for our advertisers across retail, CPG, QSR, etc. We began by introducing enhanced creative that lets them showcase entire catalogues of products as well as their long-form video content to further demonstrate how products work. We’ve since introduced shoppable video, where consumers can directly add products to their carts from the video ad, and “tap to map,” a feature on mobile devices that allows consumers to find the nearest storefront.

We’ll continue to innovate video advertising for our clients across every vertical.
